Gatsby Living currently delivers within Victoria (Melbourne metro and surrounding service areas) and Queensland (Brisbane metro, including Aspley) using our dedicated delivery services.
Delivery is available within Australia only.
We do not deliver internationally.
Delivery availability may vary by location. If your address falls outside our service areas, delivery may not be available.
What are the typical delivery days?
Delivery days vary by store.
- Gatsby Living does not deliver on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday
- Deliveries are scheduled Wednesday to Saturday only.
- Delivery date and time will be confirmed via phone or email.
- A confirmation message will be sent 1–2 days prior to delivery to ensure availability.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances on the delivery day (including but not limited to vehicle breakdowns, traffic incidents, or severe weather), our Customer Service team will contact you to arrange an alternative delivery time.
How much do you charge for delivery?
For online purchases, delivery fees are automatically calculated at checkout based on the delivery address entered.
If your address cannot be found by our system, this may indicate
that:
- We currently do not deliver to your area, or
- Additional delivery arrangements are required.
If this occurs, please contact us at info@gatsbyliving.com.au to confirm delivery availability before placing your order.
Does someone need to be home to take receipt of my order?
Yes, we prefer that the original purchaser is available to receive the delivery and allow our delivery staff to enter your home and deliver the goods ordered.Â
If no appropriate person (eg: over 18 years old) is available at the delivery address to receive the order or, if you’re required to be present at the time of delivery and you aren’t present at that time, we unfortunately can’t deliver your order. In this instance, we’ll endeavour to contact you or you can call us to arrange for delivery at a different time.Â
Note: We require customers to accept delivery of goods within 14 days of a notification that your products are available, unless a prior arrangement has been made with your store or the store’s dispatch centre. Where possible, storage can be arranged at an additional cost. We may also charge an additional delivery fee for that replacement delivery and any subsequent deliveries.
Do you remove and dispose of the packaging upon delivery?
Delivery drivers do not remove or dispose of packaging.
All packaging remains the responsibility of the customer after delivery.
Can you deliver to a second story bedroom or apartment block?
We can deliver to:
• Apartments
• Units
• Second storey homes.
Additional charges may apply depending on access conditions, including stairs, lift access, narrow hallways, or restricted entry.
For apartment deliveries, please pre-book the lift and advise us in advance of the allocated lift time frame to ensure a smooth delivery.
Kindly provide all relevant access details to your local store at the time of purchase to avoid delays or additional fees.
Assembly of Products
Our furniture products include detailed assembly instructions, however, we can help you put your new furniture together at an additional cost.
This service is only available for purchase on orders that are delivered by Gatsby Living’ third-party contractors.
The cost of assembly will vary depending on the complexity of the product you have ordered and may also depend on your delivery location and if there is a team available to help. Speak to your store or our dispatch centre to find out how we can help.
How long does assembly take?
Assembly could take up anywhere between 20 minutes to 3 hours depending on the complexity of the product.
We request that all customers take responsibility for the following:
- To ensure the goods purchased will fit into the nominated property; this includes but is not limited to property access, stairs, doorways etc.
- On delivery, to check condition of packaging, correct number of packages, and examine the goods before signing the delivery docket.
- If the delivery driver is unable to obtain access at the agreed time on the agreed day, you will be charged by the contract carrier for any subsequent delivery.
- Any damage at time of delivery must be reported to Gatsby Living Customer Service within 7days of delivery.
